It ultimately depends on the hosting provider we choose. If you're looking for a simple and straightforward website, there are free hosting options available as well. This cost is separate and will be used as your deposit.

Web Design Sample Contract
The terms of the contract may differ based on the specific requirements of the client.
​This Website Design Agreement (“Agreement”) is being made between_______________________(“Client”) located in _____________and (“Web Designer”) Regina Stachowiak on (date)_________to design and develop a website.
Services
Website Design: Initial Design and Mockups / Final Design and Template (3 pages). The services will include the following revisions: This document outlines the agreed-upon scope of work for both parties. For any changes or additional requirements, a change order must be emailed and approved by both parties. This document details the agreed-upon scope of work. Any revisions to the services outlined herein require a formal change order, which must be submitted via email and approved by both parties.
Cost and Payment
The Web Designer will charge ________ for the services outlined above. This can be either a fixed price or an hourly rate of $40.00, billed in 15-minute increments for any additional work. Payment will be requested at the end of the project. Please note that the costs for hosting and the domain are separate and will be considered as part of a down payment.
Schedule
The Web Designer will provide the following deliverables within an estimated timeframe of one month:
1. Preliminary Design
2. Review
3. Final Review
4. Completion

The Client will have three business days to review and approve each step. If no response is received within this time frame, the work will be considered approved, and the Web Designer will proceed to the next stage.
Confidentiality
The Web Designer will protect the Client's confidential information (marked as such) during and after this Agreement. Exceptions to confidentiality include information the Web Designer already knew, public knowledge, information from non-confidential third parties, or independently developed information.

Termination of Agreement
This Agreement ends automatically upon completion of all obligations and payments. Early termination requires the Client to give 2 days' notice and pay for services rendered.
. Intellectual Property
Upon full payment for hosting services, the Client will assume ownership of the website and all associated visuals. The Web Designer commits to delivering all required files. Both parties affirm their legal ownership of the provided materials and agree to indemnify each other against any third-party claims.

Sample Maintenance Agreement
The terms of the contract may differ based on the specific requirements of the client.
This agreement is between RS Web De Sign and_______________________________. The Client is contracting RS Web De Sign's to provide website maintenance services.

Services not considered 'standard website maintenance' are subject to being charged at a regular hourly rate of $40.00
Billed in 15-minute increments, this includes any correspondence.
​
The minimum monthly maintenance fee is $10.00 for in-home businesses and $20.00 for storefront businesses, billed in July and December. Any additional work not covered under this agreement will be billed $40.00 per hour.

What IS included in this agreement:
​
SEO on Pages: This includes the optimization of meta tags (title, description, keywords) and alt tags to improve search engine visibility.
​
Regular Monitoring and Updates: We will regularly monitor and update your website to ensure optimal performance across major browsers, as they may render sites differently
​
Thorough Backups: We will conduct regular and thorough backups of your site to ensure that it can be fully restored in case of data loss.
​
Website Functionality Monitoring: We will monitor your website’s functionality to ensure everything is working correctly and upgrade components as necessary. Some plugins may become outdated and incompatible with the latest version of your website software, requiring updates or replacements.
​
Handling Downtime: Downtime can be highly inconvenient for any website owner. If it occurs, I can assist you by communicating with the hosting company to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
When your site is offline, you need immediate technical support. I ensure that this option is available and deal with any issues myself so you don’t have to.

What is NOT included in this agreement:
Website redesign, realignment, or redevelopment; changes to the webpage, web graphics, or other website elements. CMS design or integration, including but not limited to blogs, shopping carts, and web forums, is also excluded.

Total Agreement:
RS Web Design will provide the Client with minor updates to the website for an indefinite period under this contract. The contract will be paid annually, with payment due in July and December. Maintenance will begin one month after the initial work is completed.
​
During the term of this contract, the Client agrees that RS Web De Sign’s will be the sole provider of maintenance services for the website. No other party will have access to or the right to make changes to the website. If any changes are made to the website by a party other than RS Web De Sign’s, any resulting errors must be repaired and will be billed at the hourly rate specified above. Additionally, minor updates should not exceed 50% of the content on any single page, with the percentage to be determined by RS Web De Sign’s.
Deadlines & Deliverables:
RS Web DeSign’s will respond to all maintenance requests from the Client within 24 hours on weekdays and 48 hours on weekends. Responses will be sent via email and will include a confirmation of receipt along with an estimated completion date for each item in the request. Maintenance requests received after 6 PM may not be addressed until the next business day, unless prior arrangements have been made. While most work will typically be completed within this timeframe, these guidelines serve as a precautionary measure.
RS Web DeSigns is committed to meeting all quoted deadlines for deliverables related to maintenance requests. If we encounter any issues in meeting a specified deadline, we will promptly notify the Client via email.

Additional Services:
Any revisions, additions, or redesign requests from the Client that are not specified in this document will be considered "additional" and will require a separate agreement and payment. RS Web Design will inform the Client of any requested work that falls into this category.

Authorization:
The Client hereby authorizes RS Web Design to access their web hosting account and Gmail account, providing active username and password combinations for access to the server, ensuring that 'write permissions' are enabled with the hosting provider.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to ask! When your site is offline, you need immediate technical support. I make sure that this option is available and personally handle any issues, so you don’t have to worry.
